Formed in 1997, Hungary's Without Face set out on their musical journey. With a fusion of influences and impressive technical ability, it was only a short time before their first demo was unleashed in early 1998. After nearly two years of intensive rehearsal and the appearance of demo tracks on various compilation CDs, the band recorded their debut album "Deep Inside" in their home country. Released in June 2000 by the Hunagrian label Hammer Music Productions (the same people behind Hungary's Metal Hammer magazine), Without Face quickly became the forerunner's of the Hungarian metal scene. Their reputation was enhanced further by playing prominent support slots to visiting bands such as The Kovenant, The Gathering and Anathema.

The band's original take on the metal sound endeared them to all that listened. The twin male / female vocals entwine to unique effect, adding an almost choiral dimension. The guitars and rhythm section take their cue from the progressive arena, with equal parts heaviness and complexity. The keyboards are the final ingredient, embellishing the overall picture, without ever overpowering.

The lyrics are story based mainly by the likes of E.A.Poe, H.P. Lovecraft and H.W. Longfellow.

"Deep Inside" caught the attention of Dark Symphonies records in America, who recenty re-released the album with brand new packaging to a wave of superlative strewn reviews across the world.

With two years since the recording of Deep Inside now gone, the band signed a four album deal with Elitist records.
