Rock-Metal band EMBRAZE from Kiiminki, Finland released their third album `Katharsis´ 27.09.02

Embraze took their first steps 1994. After hard practising, several demos and vast amount of gigs later Embraze gained morepopularity in Finnish Metal scene in -97. Especially after they finishe second at the annual RockSM (Finnish Rock Championship).

Debut album `LAEH´ was released in spring 1998 and in the following summer Embraze went to play their first festivals around Finland. Videos that were taken from the album were played regularly on Finnish TV gaining more exposure for the band. Year later it was time to release the second album `INTENSE´. In 2000 `ENDLESS JOURNEY´ was released for the European market. It received a great reception in Metal scene.

The same year they started to work on the new material for the actual third album. This time they made several demos and really worked and fine tuned the songs before entering the studio. In july 2001 a studio was built in a villa in Lappland. The band wanted to get rid off from the normal studio surroundings and the only option was this studio in the middle of nowhere.

There they spent few weeks with engineer/producer Aki Karppinen. `KATHARSIS´ represents more aggressive and faster metal than previous releases, not forgetting melodies and catchy choruses. Lyric wise Embraze took very personal aproach, but there is also songs about natures mystics.

This kind of feeling you can´t get anywhere, but in Lappland, by the lake in the middle of forest, in a villa where the doors locked up by themselves and moose horns kept dropping off the wall.
At the moment EMBRAZE is getting back from the well deserved brake and getting ready to hit the road once again!
